- Dani (1983) and David (1985) aka the Mechanical Brothers were born in Igualada, a city 60 km near Barcelona. From teenagers, they have been interested in hard, dark and alternative music from heavy metal to punk or rap. Later, they began to go out w..Dani (1983) and David (1985) aka the Mechanical Brothers were born in Igualada, a city 60 km near Barcelona. From teenagers, they have been interested in hard, dark and alternative music from heavy metal to punk or rap. Later, they began to go out with their friends to house and techno discotheques, but they thought that it was not their style. After this, they started to go to raves and discovered the hard techno music, and hereafter, this was the starting point from which they began to be attract by dj's and electronic music world. They formed the Mechanical Brothers in April of 2008. Dani was the dj, and David was the producer. Dani started to spin on the decks 4 years ago. At that time he was influenced by artists such as Cristian Varela, Valentino Kanziany and many more. After discovering Hardtechno he changed his style and his way of mixing and took as reference dj Lukas, who gave him some tips. David Uve, started his productions with Reason but then, he changed this software for Ableton, by the influence of djs like Dj Lukas, Fernanda Martins or Motormorfoses aka Eto & Gab, with who they had contact troughout the year 2008. Nowadays, they are exchaniging the roles inside the group, while David enters in the world of the live act, Dani is starting to make some tracks. Further more now Dani and David are label owners: Dani created 3 month ago MB PRODUCTIONS to sell versus tracks and Mechanical Brothers tracks.
