- Melody’s Enemy are a British electronic music production duo and DJ act comprising of Andy Haeffele and Morgan Jones. Rugged, wonky, techno is their forte and their tunes can be found in the sets of Dense & Pika, Skream and Adam Beyer (amongst others).A somewhat unorthodox pairing in modern Techno, the duo honed their craft within the drum and bass scene, releasing and performing for many of its best labels such as Playaz, Ram and Metalheadz. A reconvergence in 2015 saw them form Melody’s Enemy - a project designed to channel their shared ethos of ruggedness and “golden-era” d&b aesthetic into modern techno. They were quickly spotted by Dense & Pika, and began releasing on their ground-breaking Kneaded Pains imprint. Surging forward ever since the pair have delivered a series of critically-acclaimed ep’s on Kneaded Pains and Skream’s Of Unsound Mind label. Already respected for their production, 2018 saw Melody’s Enemy collaborate with both Dense & Pika and Drumcode’s Vinicius Honorio on killer releases “From Nothing” and “Thrillseekers” respectively. They also teamed up with Croydon’s-favourite-son Skream to craft a 2 track EP that was quickly snapped up by Alan Fitzpatrick for release on We Are The Brave in 2019. In-demand remixers and regulars on Rinse FM, sonically the duo’s mantra resonates from the roots of the dirty London dancefloors they trod for many years.
