- Miguel, born in 1977, is a passionate artist who started his musical career at the age of 14 in different bars and clubs. He is well-known for his innovative and stylish sets - his selection varies from Deep and Techhouse to Techno sounds. Thanks to his constant development, DJ Miguel has managed to play himself to the top of the DJ scene in East Switzerland and makes guest appearances in the top clubs of St Gallen, and right across to West Switzerland. Since 2005 he has been resident DJ in clubs such as Club Alte Börse, Supermarket and Club Q in Zurich, but he has also had the opportunity to express his talent on beautiful islands like Ibiza, Mykonos, Cyprus as well as in many different places in the nearby regions of Germany and Austria. As the owner of the eventagency “smoovegroup GmbH” he is constantly surprising party guests with new concepts, quality sounds and atmospheric ambience. His party labels, "east2zurich", “OUT OF ORDINARY” and others, are awesome, and a must in every clubber’s agenda. DJ Miguel’s first official CD was released by the record label TBA in 2005. In autumn 2006 the long-awaited second east2zurich-CD “kauf’house” was released, produced together with Rolf Imhof. “kauf’house” was such a success, that the following CD “strand’house” followed soon after, in May 2007. The year 2007 was characterised by the successful partylabel OUT OF ORDINARY, for which he released an anniversary CD in the autumn, mixed by himself and Rolf Imhof. The first release, EP Pananorama, with his studioproject SMALLTOWN COLLECTIVE (STC) followed in spring 2008 on the German label Malec Records and in the same year he was signed by agency Circle Music Germany as well as by Plastic City Records for new music projects. Several releases followed on Plastic City, with remixes by Terry Lee Brown Jr, and licensing for various international compilations. At the beginning of 2009 he began cooperation with LOPAZZ from “Get Physical Records” on labels such as Bacteria Records Switzerland and Martin Eyerers&Marc Romboys “Session Deluxe”. In September 2009 Miguel mixed the compilation “ZURICH SESSION” for Plastic City Records with only label-owned tracks, including two by the Swiss combo SMALLTOWN COLLECTIVE.
