Much can be said for his appreciation of the craft, with cutting-edge influences such as Aphex Twin, Ltj Bukem, and Photek to name a few. Mike Fate takes the sensibilities of modern Drum and Bass and 90’s techno and makes it his own. Mike’s as a producer is undeniably ‘underground’ in character – but while it refuses to conform, there is a certain accessibility and charm to his music that can attract both fanatics of the genre, as well as casual listeners. Signature, pads, stabs and melodies where hypnotic beats coalesce into a harmonic cacophony of rhythm and sound. With a foundational knowledge in electronic music territory by the age of 16, he had acquired his first pair of turntables and was quickly noted for surgical cuts, infectious blends and his future thinking in electronic music. As a result over two decades later Mike has an impressive vinyl collection, and has shared the decks with the majority of top artists in the genre. For Fate, electronic music is about the emotional inner journey that envelops the listener, and that’s exactly the intention with his own productions. So what’s next for Mike ? Currently, it’s ‘all systems go’ for the artist as he sets the wheels in motion for upcoming releases...
