- Mack comes to you from Midwest America where house and techno music were born. Raised an hour north of Chicago, exposure to the early sounds of house influenced his musical tastes and is clearly heard in his style today. Although mainly in Chicago for..At a young age, Mike was intrigued with music from always listening to oldies and soul on his parents' radios. As he grew, rap music, alternative and punk rock were his main inspirations. After highschool is when Mike really found himself moving to the beat of house music. While attending university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he made his first trip to Detroit where he was captivated by the infamous Detroit Electronic Music Festival many years ago and has been DJing ever since. Mike Mack has been playing records and putting together events in Chicago and Milwaukee alongside house and techno's more accomplished DJs for almost a decade. He has played some of the best dance clubs and underground venues in both cities as well as hosted many intimate private parties. Initially, Mack's style consisted primarily of upbeat and vocal house but a natural evolution pushed his interests toward the super deep sounds of minimalist music. Today though, he is finding himself more and more interested in the thick thumps of dub techno, yet he never loses touch with those oh-so-soulful elements that have always been included in his DJ sets.
