- The name Mike Redfern has become synonymous with quality underground house music in Brisbane. From his beginnings, Mike has shown a passion for genres ranging from tech, minimal and deep house through to twisted breaks and this diversity of influences..The name Mike Redfern has become synonymous with quality underground house music in Brisbane. From his beginnings, Mike has shown a passion for genres ranging from tech, minimal and deep house through to twisted breaks and this diversity of influences shines through in his Dj sets and productions. Never following the current trends and fads of dance music, Mike consistently hunts down and delivers the freshest possible music he can find rather than imitating what is found on the top 10 charts. Mike is a regular at all of the major Australian dance music festivals and consistently rocks dancefloors at events across Brisbane where his unique take on house music has made him a favourite with clubbers, promoters and fellow Dj's. Mike has also been spending more time in the studio, both alone and with production partner Murray Antill, working on some hot new productions and remixes (which have already gained the attention from some of top record labels: expect to see the first releases early in 2008). Mike’s sound is being developed by taking on influences from his musical background and is forming into a unique blend of deep tech house. Mike, alongside Fergus Alexander and BPM, runs LOGIC Events. The LOGIC brand was created with a commitment to supply dance floors with a unique mixture of upfront music that was not being heard within the Brisbane dance music community. Each LOGIC member has a very unique musical background and this comes through not only in there own distinct sound when performing, but also in the vast array on internationals they have had appear as guests at there events.
