Biografía

  • His music is a smooth blend of funk, tribal, deep house and tech, injected with elements of hip-hop, techno and nu disco –
Salvione (Sal-vi-own) relishes in a time where music has never been more accessible and original sounds so openly accepted. Inspired by the likes of Guti, Andre Crom and the legendary Carl Craig, his musical education never stops, and neither does his thirst for incorporating new types of music into his sound. Performing with the likes of Marco Bailey, Todd Terry, The Junkies, Walker & Royce and Lauren Lane, Salvione continues to deliver his unique sound at some of New York City’s most renowned venues, such as Pacha, Sullivan Room, Sankey’s and District 36. In 2011, he performed at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, an unforgettable experience that allowed him to showcase his talents in front of the biggest names in the industry. As a graduate of the Dubspot music production program, he continues to sharpen his music acumen, actively enrolled in piano lessons, mixing and mastering workshops and advanced music production classes, furthering his melody creation and chord progression skills – a talent many of the world’s top DJ’s often attribute to their success. When Salvione isn’t in the studio, he’s performing another installment of, Quality over Quantity (QOQ), a popular music series and bi-monthly podcast showcased at a handful of intimate venues in New York City. QOQ’s popularity has spurred the growth of Salvione’s cultural project, Young New York, a unique clothing brand, podcast and industry blog that he has helped transform into the perfect forum for himself and other local DJs to put their stamp on the underground music scene.
