- Milkplant is from Oakland, California. From 0-1 label founder and director, producer, DJ.Milkplant is Justin Pennell. From 0-1 label founder and co-owner with longtime friend Sone, he is originally from Milwaukee,Wisconsin; and now resides in Oakland, California. 25 years combined DJ and production experience, and 7 years of record label operations inform his craft and commitment to Techno. In the fall of 2014 he released 'Time Dilation', a four track 12" EP on From 0-1, charted by Gary Beck, and Paul Mac at #2 and #1 in their November 2014 Juno charts. His productions have drawn critical acclaim from many notable artists; showing up in mixes and charts by Ben Sims, Jerome Sydenham, Bryan Zentz, Joachim Spieth, Tommy Four Seven, Submerge, Groof, Mr. Jones, Electric Indigo, David Meiser, Samuli Kemppi, Arnaud Le Texier, DJ T-1000, and many others. As a DJ he can be found playing a combination of vinyl and digital.
