- Who is MissKai? Just a lil ole girl from TN spinning a few tunes... LOL I'm a selector...& now an up & coming DJ based in Nashville. Though my appreciation for music runs the gamut genre wise, as a DJ, I love to spin soulful house & broken beat...w..MissKai is a native & current resident of Nashville, TN and has lived there most of her life. She loves traveling and has lived briefly in such cities as Houston, Atlanta, and the Baltimore/DC area...and considers Atlanta her second home. Most seem surprised that with her eclectic taste in music that she was born and raised in Nashville, though Nashville's nickname is Music City, USA. A music lover/appreciator and avid collector most of her life, she decided to explore DJing in the spring of 2005...starting out with digital mixing using Mixmeister software. She is now out to master CD decks and turntables...and being the geek that she is, she plans to use such technology as Serato Scratch Live to be able to take advantage of both traditional and digital DJ techniques. She also has a budding interest in production. Her goal is to be as versatile as possible in not only what she spins and creates (which is everything from soul, R&B, house, broken/break beat, downtempo, rap/hip hop, jazz, world, and funk), but also in how she shares her love of music...
