- Mister Saturday Night is DJ duo Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter. Eamon and Justin are the creators and residents of the longstanding Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday parties as well as founders and residents of Nowadays in NYC.Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin are the longtime collaborators behind Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday. Started in 2009 in DIY spaces and back yards, the parties these days happen at Nowadays, the place Justin and Eamon opened in 2015. In addition to throwing parties and running Nowadays, Eamon and Justin run a label called Mister Saturday Night Records and produce a series called Planetarium, where people bring pillows, blankets and sleeping bags, lie in silence and listen deeply to music. The label has released ambient musings from Gunnar Haslam, heavy noise from Hank Jackson, slo-mo mutant techno from Russell E.L. Butler, weird bangers from Keita Sano, and dead classics from Anthony Naples (as well as folky lullabies from Justin and stinging acid trax from Eamon). Beyond spending time building their own little universe, Harkin and Carter are also deep diggers of all types of music: their sporadic Lot Radio show features everything from choral music and pre-war blues to techno and new wave.
