Mojave (female:pressure/Jackin' Jills/PANIC) is an American DJ and producer who specializes in soulful house and techno, drawing inspiration from the beauty and decay of Southern California's Mojave Desert. A multi-instrumentalist with a foundation in classical, jazz, and music theory, formal training in sound design and production, Mojave brings a sharp ear, unique sound, and open mind to the decks. Mojave has performed top nightclubs, festivals, and the underground circuit throughout the U.S. and Europe. She's headlined Berlin’s famed Suicide Circus and SchwuZ, and has supported the likes of Sasha, Kerri Chandler, Radio Slave, John Tejada, DVS1, Volvox, DJ Hyperactive, Paul Johnson, Woody McBride, The Advent, Matt Lange, and more. She's held radio residencies at Barcelona City FM radio (~25k listeners), FNOOB (U.K.), and appears regularly on shows like Data Transmission and podcasts in the U.K., U.S., Germany, and Canada. Her passion for discovering and sharing new music began as a kid growing up in a family of musicians in New England, exploring her into parents' vinyl collection and digging in local record shops. After spending her formative years performing in symphony orchestras and choir, she moved to L.A. and New York and fell in love with the house & techno community. The uplifting music and the idea of the dance floor as an inclusive safe haven inspired her to become a DJ, producer, and event organizer to bring people together and promote these values. Since 2017, she's been a resident at female:pressure, a Berlin-based international collective advocating for women-identifying and non-binary artists in electronic music, and Jackin' Jills, an LA-based collective empowering the same community. Influenced by her classical training and upbringing on metal/hardcore, shoegaze, post-rock, and ambient music, Mojave delivers exciting, genre-blurring, emotionally evocative live sets that elevate the energy of the room and fill the dance floor. Moving fluidly between soulful house, jackin’ techno, dark techno, ethereal ambient stretches and breaks, she keeps things fresh and audiences guessing. With a busy international gig schedule and new productions on the way, 2023 is looking bright for Mojave.
