- niclas erlandsson is a live performing techno artist, producer and mastering engineer. His live sets and productions share their imprint by integrating electronic experimentation with hours of meticulous preparation.´The materials in either, will often be reappropriated, trickling down to affect and morph with the other, foregoing melody for pummeling and perpetual tracks with a mixture of techno, acid, EBM and breakbeats. Both however, are creations after a sea of improvisation utilizing mainly sampling techniques from a vast array of materials and sources. This can be his own field recordings, a song he really enjoys or just strange noises from a drum machine. These materials accumulate to cacophonic, fun, hard-hitting contemporary ‘Berlin techno’, often signified by controlled chaos and sprinkled with EBM and acid. Combined with the articulated, highly compressed and distorted Swedish 90’s techno, he wants to create ‘head-bang worthy’ tunes.
