Biografía

  • From the humble beginnings of an outer east Melbourne rainforest - accross the globe and back again - Nicnac has now landed himself in the thick of it. Having moved back to Melbourne from Barcelona we are glad to have him home!
    With over ten years of stage experience Nicnac has continued to impress crowds around the world. From the humble beginnings of a late nineties techno sound to an outstandingly diverse repertoire, his current sets nestle in the bosom of minimal-techno and electro-tech’s lovechild. After a short European tour in the UK, Spain and Germany in 2005 Nicnac relocated to Barcelona for two years returning to Australia in 2010. Nicnac has played almost every Melbourne club, from Q Bar (RIP), The Lounge, La Di Da, Revolver to name a few, and festival events including Earthcore, FRL and Pyramid Rock Festival. Whilst in Barcelona Nicnac graced the decks at City Hall, Le Kasbah, Hotel W’s illustrious pool deck and high rise Eclipse Club, Monro27, Sahara Bar, Guru and a plethora of Chiringuito’s, Off Sonar events and beach parties during the world renowned electronic music festival. He has held residencies at 'Duplo', The Lounge, ‘Trainspotting’, ‘Discourse’ and ‘Two for the Pot’, and in Barcelona at Ice Bar and with the 'Sastango' underground collective. Nicnac has been running large events with Melbourne based "Messy Creations", as well as running 'Ace's High' at Altitude, ‘Planet 3030’ at Miss Libertines and having a small hand in La Di Da’s Smash Bang Presents. Since starting to produce his own sound he has signed with local label Smash Bang Records and Fresh Vibes Records (Spain) and brought his music to the table at the forefront of Melbourne’s emerging musical talent, playing live sets for Discourse, aLive, Factory and Mo’ Bass. Aside from his studio efforts, Nicnac has filled supporting slots for internationals like Michael Mayer, Mathew Jonson, Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Cromeo, Cut Le Roc and Alex Kidd amongst others as well as stellar locals such as Bubble & Squeak, Aaron Smiles, Simon Slieker, Gavin Martin, Digital Primate, Ferris, Pixelton, The Semi Retired Fold and the Messy Creations Crew. From co-running major events and festivals, guest hosting and playing on various radio shows on Melbourne based Triple J, Street FM and Kiss FM in addition writing release and event reviews for online community In The Mix, Nic continues to strive!
