Biografía

  • Nicolas Bacher has been one of Austrias leading electronic music artists for nearly a decade now. He started spinning records in the mid 90s and soon there was a semi professional focus on music production and djing.
Already as a young boy Nicolas was interested in technical stuff, electronics and music. As a combination of these he played around with music cassette players and turntables and soon he started programming electronic sounds with his Commodore 64. After some years spinning records on private underground parties the first major breakthrough was soon to arrive. In 2000 he was voted "Best Newcomer DJ" at Austrian’s popular Techno Award, and signed a deal with one of the leading booking agencies Titan International. Besides commercial production assignments for Motorola or several Radio Stations, he did productions for most of Austrias national top-acts, which joined him for cooperations which have resulted in various releases with different styles. Live Gigs and productions with austrian’s Nr. 1 performance group “Living F/X” caused great after which they also produced their first Album "The Face of Sound" together. To start promoting his music and the work of Austrian artists he founded Austria's leading DJ Portal - DJ Net Austria – in 1996 which turned to be a part of www.tornadoX.com in November 2001. TornadoX.com was one of europes leading electronic music destinations on the web, offering news, dj mixes and many more. Unfortunately tornadox.com was turned down after 5 busy years because of a very wrong decision of the owners. His own clubnight series in 2002 called "We love techno" at Viennas Club Massiv caused uproar in Austria as it was a melting point for many artists and partypeople from all over Europe (yes, we had visitors coming here from Frankfurt!). Different styles of electronic music he encountered over the years, developed a flair for all kind of situations the crowd could get into. This reputation makes him a willingly viewed act in clubs and on various events all over Europe, spinning his records from UK to Romania. Major appearances include Poland for Viva, Summer of Love Festival in Czech Republic, Hungary (Mayday 2002 and 2003), Rabac Festival Kroatia and Eurovision Serbia and of course several well-known Austrian events like Biosphere, Gazometer, Hypnotic and of course appearances in Vienna’s famous Flex, legendary Kunstwerk and many more. Over the last years Nicolas Bacher has been working intensely together with his studio partner DJ Felipe and several records on major technolabels were due for release. Their own label TITANIUM RECORDS started successfully in early 2003 and got massive international support by top artists like Marco Bailey, Stanny Franssen, Johan Bacto, Hardcell, Asem Shama, Redhead, Patrik Skoog and many more!!! Releases on labels like Rotation, Bush, Primevil, Monoid, YO! and mb electronics had great impact on the dancefloor, as well as great response in international magazines. The second label “SUPREME ENTERTAINMENT” was soon born, which was dedicated to warmer and groovier techno and house rhythms. Featuring artists like Samuel L. Session, Danilo Vigorito and Gaetano Parisio, ex-Amnesia-Ibiza-Resident Paco Osuna from Spain and many more big names found a home on this platform. Besides the regular dj-dates Nicolas was also performing the TITANIUM productions live all over 2005 with special performances, animations and amazing light program for major events. In 2006 Felipe and Nicolas decided to go their own direction again, and Nicolas soon started his digital Record Label "nb records" which is available worldwide through all major download portals. Nicolas was busy in the studio during summer 2008 and a lot of new stuff is soon to be released. Watch out for some big tunes slamming your eardrum soon.
