In a minimal amount of time he has managed to gather an impressive following of fans and peers. The extremely motivated Nikolai has proven that there are several ways of gaining the attention of some of the world's most famous DJ's and producers while supporting fresh new talent just like himself. Born in Mexico City but raised in Tennessee, the self-taught techno DJ and producer has a boldly colorful background and surprisingly, music never showed its face in the array. At the ripe age of 19 Nikolai decided to check out the city life and Miami was his first stop. Oddly enough, Miami was not where he discovered his passion for EDM; it was his return to his birth country (where Psytrance and Progressive House lead the dance scene) when he suddenly began to ponder on how it would feel to be in the booth. At 23 he made his triumphant return to the U.S and relocated to Nashville, TN. With a new found craving for EDM on his palette, he began the development of his new hobby which quickly became permanent a part of his life. As Nikolai began molding and refining his talent, he noticed a lack of proper representation for the EDM scene in Nashville. In December 2011, without prior experience in graphic design, journalism or media marketing, Nikolai decided to launch 128ANDUP Magazine. Having deemed himself the Chief in Editor of the magazine, he solely wrote the content for the first issue. In what seemed like an instant, the magazine became worldwide and appealed to so many due the deficit of coverage on mainstream music. 128ANDUP has featured interviews from several world famous DJ’s and producers including Sydney Blu, David Call, Aaron Olsen, Sonic Element, & Dennis Sheperd. Nikolai Marti has been invited to open sets for Gustavo Carol (Trauman Records), British DJ HIXXY (Raver Records), played at major events such as Home Grown Festival, Life in Color (Formerly Day Glow) along with Cedric Gervais and Kevin Focus. Nikolai has releases on 128TKNO Records and Transplant Music Group. In addition to his growing list of accomplishments, Nikolai has also composed his own mixes for exclusive radio shows and live broadcasts around the globe such as XM-Radio(Las Vegas, USA), InsomniaFM Digital (Spain), Music is the drug (Brooklyn New York), Bioma Radio (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Electronic Mind (Mexico City), Party Radio USA (Brooklyn, New York.) Nikolai also mixed a tribute for the Argentinian DJ and Producer Hernan Cattaneo of The Nocturnal Beat (Los Angeles, California.) Nikolai never lacks dedication and always is in search of new ways to support the EDM industry.
