Biografía

  • Nuno di Rosso is based in Porto, Portugal. DJ, radio host and promotor has a career that spawned thru 3 decades.
Nuno does radio. Before that, he was already blending songs resorting to a couple of decks and a mixer for a live audience, igniting dance floors from the south to the north of Portugal since the dawn of our millennium. He keeps two distinct radio shows on the FM. Connected focuses on the large spectrum of electronic music and airs from Braga thru Radio universitária do Minho (RUM). He is also one of the voices behind Pérola Negra, which hits the airwaves on Radio Oxigénio in Lisbon and RUM up in the north. He shares its authorship with Bruma, Francisco AP, Paulo Cunha Martins and Tomás Lobo. It is a space where forgotten records come hand in hand with unforeseen and not frequently aired phonograms. To describe his sets in a few sentences, we can say that two constants are always present: a perplexing myriad of elements behind any beat and bewildering basslines. Concrete and robust music that gets to the point and celebrates the common ground between electro, ghetto and acid house, techno, breakbeat and what people agreed on calling leftfield. Expect almost scrapping knees on asphalt's tight curves and wheelies on demand.
