Recognized connoisseur of all kind of electronic music, multifaceted like few others. From west to east, from north to south, Nunzio Borino is both the metronome and the compass of himself. You would never get lost with him. Born in 1980, vinyl record collector and music lover in all its shapes. Hybrid sound, rich in contaminations, with 80's reminiscences, slow-mo, wrong speed, IDM and wave; this musical versatility makes Nunzio one of the most representative figure of Palermo’s musical scene. What he likes the most is to see how a good DJ melts his soul with the music, becoming one with the dancefloor: "the magic of many people perfectly tuned to the same wavelength in a stimulating exchange of emotions". In 2003, he began to actively organize his parties, thus becoming the creator and resident DJ of the Free As We Are (Fawa), a young and weekly event of great prestige for the city of Palermo, a real revolution. Over the years he has had the opportunity to deal with the most important artists, playing all across Europe, from: // About Blank in Berlin, to the SPACE in Ibiza, passing through The Egg in London, the MOOM57 in La Coruna and the DEPO Klub in Zagreb. In 2011 an important milestone, Nunzio was the first DJ to bring his DJ set to the majestic Teatro Massimo in Palermo, for the premiere of the opera "La damnation de Faust" directed by the visionary Terry Gilliam. In addition, the book of Laurent Garnier and David Brun-Lambert, "Electrochoc" (published in Italy by KNM Music) sees him appearing among the special supporters. Soul of the Nice To MEOW You! Brand Party Designers, protagonist of the crazy nights of the Black Cat and the Candelai of Palermo, Owner and Founder of Geometrie Naturali Festival and Monumental Event; in summer he takes refuge in his beloved Pantelleria where he is a resident DJ of Altamarea Club / Kaya Kaya and where he takes care of the soundtrack of the most prestigious parties organised all over the island. He collaborates with Seul Community Radio, Automat Radio, Radio Alhara, Internet Public Radio, Mondonero, Slow Motion Records, Ortigia SoundSystem Festival, Boutique Festival, One Day Music Festival, Denshi RAW, Palermo Pride. He has selected music for important brands including Adidas, Gufram, Roche Bobois, Averna, Absolut, Armani, Redbull just to name a few. Montoni e Visioni is his new recording adventure. “Wake Up Lullaby” is his monthly show on Mondonero web radio; “DreamWeaver” instead is his new monthly show on Internet Public Radio - Mexico and “The Wandering Mind” on Radio Alhara. Nunzio Borino è un dj dalle mille sfaccettature e dalle mille finestre: ne apri una e c’è sempre qualche cosa di nuovo al suo interno. Ecco, lui è così. Riconosciuto conoscitore di tutte le angolazioni della musica elettronica, sfaccettato come pochi altri. Da ovest a est, da nord a sud, Nunzio Borino è sia il metronomo che la bussola di se stesso. Con lui non ci si perde mai. Classe 1980, collezionista di dischi e amante della musica in ogni sua sfaccettatura. Sound ibrido, ricco di contaminazioni, con reminiscenze 80’s, slow-mo, wrong speed, IDM, dark disco e wave; tale versatilità musicale rende Nunzio uno fra le figure più rappresentative della scena musicale palermitana. Ciò che più gli piace è vedere come un bravo dj fonda la propria anima con la musica, diventando un’unica cosa con il dancefloor: “la magia di tante persone perfettamente sintonizzate sulla stessa lunghezza d'onda in uno stimolante scambio di emozioni”. Nel 2003, inizia ad organizzare in modo attivo i suoi parties, diventa così ideatore e resident dj del Free As We Are (Fawa), un evento giovane e settimanale di grandissimo prestigio per la città di Palermo, una vera e propria rivoluzione. Nel corso degli anni ha avuto modo confrontarsi con i più importanti artisti, suonando in lungo e in largo per l’Europa, dall’ ://About Blank di Berlino, allo SPACE di Ibiza, passando per il The Egg di Londra, il MOOM57 a La Coruna, e il DEPO Klub di Zagabria. Nel 2011 un traguardo importante, Nunzio è il primo dj a portare all'interno del maestoso Teatro Massimo di Palermo il suo djset, per la prima dell'opera “La damnation de Faust” diretta dal visionario Terry Gilliam. Inoltre il libro di Laurent Garnier e David Brun-Lambert, “Electrochoc” (edito in Italia da KNM Music) lo vede figurare tra gli special supporter. Anima del brand Nice To MEOW You! Party Designers, protagonista delle folli notti del Gatto Nero e de I Candelai di Palermo, Owner e Founder di Geometrie Naturali Festival e Monumental Event; in estate si rifugia sulla sua amata Pantelleria dove è resident di Altamarea Club / Kaya Kaya e cura la colonna sonora dei più prestigiosi parties dell’isola.
