- Obester aka Obie Tryce Next coming releases on Picknick Recordings, Metro Music...Obester (aka Obie ) is a Zimbabwean born house/techno underground dj & producer, based in the uk. Since graduating top of the class at the Technics DJ Mix school in JHB,South Africa. Obie has gone on to establish himself as a solid dj in the UK,Playing @ some of UK famous underground parties/venues such as Cargo,Ministry of Sound,Face @ the Rainbow,Re_Chord,Runway,Re Hab etc. For his debut EP signed to 'Phobic Records' with support from Dubfire, Slam, Groove Armada, Anthony Pappa, Andrew Grant, Tom Pooks, Chris Lattner, Brothers Vibe, Moodymanc, Dzeta & Basile, Tamoki Tamura, Onionz, Daniele Papini, Tom Flynn, Stojche, Mihai Popoviciu, Siopis etc Obie decided to enlist the support of one of the hottest producer at the moment (Evren Ulusoy). Track from his debut EP 'Tribute To Amos' was included on the IBIZA UNDERGROUND 2011 Compilation & TOM POOKS's Compilation... This has not gone unnoticed by the scene, earning a few releases under Picknick records, Sempai Music, Bluesoul and djing at various underground parties across the uk... His dj sets & production draw influences from different artists & dear friends like Chris Lattner, Floyd Lavine, Vlad Caia, Ricardo Villalobos, Rhadoo, Dubfound, Hamid, Whimme, Nu Zu, Volkan Akin, Pheek, Radiq, Cabanne, Scott Kemp, Birdsmakingmachines, Kjofol, Vera, Mario, Evren Ulusoy, TC Studio, Cristi Cons, to name a few...
