- ‘Of The Moon’ is the sonic representation of the LA-based Iranian American producer Arash Rassekh expressing his imagination in an alternative parallel life. Hypnotic deep vibes in diverse forms of electronica are best to describe the journey.Arash Rassekh AKA Rassek AKA Of The Moon, the Iranian American DJ/Producer, based in NY/LA/Tehran, has been DJing since 1999. Raised in New York/ Tehran, Arash started collecting records in middle school, and he got invited to an underground party in one of the summers that he was paying a visit to Tehran. That's when he got hooked and fell in love with the House music scene and started to become one of the regulars at Danny Tenaglia's legendary "Be your self" parties on his return back to NY. Since listening to all kinds of music while growing up, music defined his lifestyle so. He decided to implement all that knowledge into mixing records, shape his craft as a DJ, and eventually produce music. Soon Rassek started releasing several remixes with the Classic Kult Records for artists such as Craig Mitchell , Lula , Alan T. and started to build his way up and remix for big names such as The Doors, Nadia Ali (53rd Grammy Nominee), and Namito on his early days of producing. He continued to DJ at most metropolitan cities around the globe and worked with labels such as Monique Musique, Memoria, SK Supreme, Natura Viva, Suburban, Smile in Bed, Conya... After he decided to move back to Tehran for a while, he got him self-involved with a couple of Iranian music projects. His involvement as a music producer on a musical show created by Iranian superstar Amin Hayai (The famine Of Light) landed him performing live for 16 shows at Tallar Vahdat (Roodaki), one of the most prestige's concert halls in Iran. Following that, he started to do some Co-Producing/ Collaborations with the Iranian Hip Hop pioneer Mehrad Mostofi (Hidden) on two of his freshly sound hip hop/ Rock albums, "BOZORG" and "TOONEL." After a decade of presence in the music industry on both sides, he decided to rebrand himself as "Of The Moon" for his international electronic music material. Since then, he released his first original work with the same title as his artist name "Of The Moon" and got it remixed by H.O.S.H, following that landed himself a remix for one of the biggest electronic bands in Europe, "WhoMadeWho" on Get Physical and least but not last a remix on the mighty "Global Underground."
