Biografía

  • OGEID Has released music on labels like Adult Only, Pleasure Zone, Cityfox, Siteholder and more. He has held different residencies in Europe, in Barcelona’s Club 4 and The One, and in Berlin at the infamous clubs Chalet and Crack Bellmer.
Berlin was calling OGEID over 7 years ago by embarking him in a journey created by Quincy Jones and AKG in the form of a workshop based “Scholarship” in which participants would dive deeper into music production and audio engineering. Workshops hosted by Carl Craig, Stefan Betke, Ewan Pearson and many more made OGEID fall in love with the multidisciplinary artistic diversity of Berlin, and so he decided to stay. The “Scholarship of Sound” Organized by Ableton, SAE and AKG selected him as a winner for 2011 and invited him to Berlin. At the time living in Barcelona where he started his own Raised Music Imprint in 2007 while studying Audio Engineering he released his first single ep at 19 years of age under the moniker “DiF” on the Chicago based label Siteholer Records. While attending school and learning how to run a digital label on his spare time he produced an unofficial remix for the canadian indie band Broken Social Scene which garnered not only the band’s attention, but was also mentioned on American public television during an interview with the band in 2010. It was in 2012 when already living in Berlin that his Track “Zincun” on the Swiss label Cityfox was released. His quirky and hypnotic track made the charts of Exercise One, Marco Carola, Seph, Richie Hawtin, Richard, MC & Hammer and a few web platforms like Resident Advisor and Beatport. This track was part of a compilation featuring established artists such as: Franky Greiner, Adriatique, M.A.N.D.Y, Mark Henning and Digitaline to name a few. (Cityfox Circle 1 Compilation ) As OGEID was getting noticed in the city he landed a monthly residency at Chalet club in 2013 in which he hosted not only his own parties inviting cutting edge headliners, but also introduced a workshop series during the summer where he would teach about open source MIDI controllers in collaboration with Livid Instruments. Almost immediately after his first all Hardware Live show at Chalet he was invited to perform for the online radio RTS.FM and they weren't the only ones. More and more shows started to come his way in well known berlin Clubs, this ultimately lead OGEID to take a break and learn more about the music he wanted to create and the music he wanted to play. Nowadays we see OGEID move towards a more analog and less refined approach and steer away from the more commercial-sounding productions for which he first started to get noticed for under his alter ego DiF. Currently, OGEID continues hosting monthly events under the concept “Faux Pas” at the Berliner Crack Bellmer club and keeps adding tirelessly to his 15-year old Record collection. OGEID views his music as an effective way to impact people on a physical level, relishing in the ability to guide a room through sound waves alone. This is clearly evident when he performs, relying on the mood of the moment as well as his personal expertise to bring the crowd to captivating new levels. For Bookings Contact: [email protected]
