- Brief summary of Oliver A aka Cocconote Born in Toulon in the south of France and moved to New Caledonia at the age of 7. Olivier grew up under the coconut tree’s with the influences of the youcoulele “du phare amedee”.From the age of 14, Olivier developed a keen interest in music and started working on his record collection, sometimes playing for occasions such as birthday party’s ,school events, wedding’s etc playing all different styles and genres of music. Olivier’s taste in music was broadening and moved into electronic music, mainly house and techno (record collection doubles). Before to long he was playing at the first Full Moon Party in Noumea and other similar events. Once making name for himself on the electronic music circuit he stared the collectif called MB tribe ( who become CONTACT ) responsible for all the major electronic events in Noumea from 1996 to 2000. Apero Techno in bars and after party’s here and there, to big events (2000 people ) such as Natural Wonderland, 1er contact, 2000-1, and the first Techno Parade in South pacific regrouping around 5000 people . In 1998 Olivier moved to Paris to join is mate Pepperpot and Markassin and to get deeply into the electronic scene. First kick in the head was his first night @ the REX club with Manu le Malin behind 3 dexs . He ended up staying for 8 months and enjoyed his time doing intensive record shopping and partying to see everything he could. On the side playing for EL-UE ( which is now called Play) and Insomniac. After all the partying Olivier moved back to Noumea and found residencies at the Café Luna (house club) where he stayed a good year, then moving to Auckland, New Zealand to play in clubs such as the Ku BAR, The Caliber, Supafly, The Fever and the Campus radio. Moving to Australia in 2000 he found residencies @ Sugareef ( French dressing, Sunday Grooves &Essence) , SOHO Bar every Wednesday, Berlin Bar on Saturday as well as ZEN on Saturday (for vinyl) and Sunday session @ Bondi Hotel. The Morning After @ the Empire (Sat ,Sun, Monday morning) Plantation (every Fri, sat and Sunday). Sometimes playing guest appearances @ Tantra, The Globe, Ice Cube, The world bar and other spots. He dj for the live p.a of chilli hifly @ One love (Melbourne). In between all this Olivier was also appearing on the radio for Triple J’s Mix Up. Early 2005 busy Olivier moves back to France for 6 months where he plays @ a host of Parisian night spots including la Fabrique alongside Paco & Pepperpot, La maison w/ Pepperpot, le Leopard w/ Dan Weber, Le batofar w/ DJ :Terry: and various other party’s for Another night alongside Jerome Pacman, D’julz, Paco, Paul Guido… August 2005 back to Sydney and getting busy again he launched into residencies @ Candy’ s Apartment for Dirty House Sessions, the ROXY (Wednesday and Saturday Lounge gigs), @ the Palace (every Sunday w/ Martini club). 2006 jett setting around he plays with Jerome Pacman and Pepperpot @ Another Night in Noumea (duck island) once back in Sydney he has played some Minimal Fuss party’s held at the Civic Hotel. End 2006 It s a new begining, oliver work in studio to release is owne flavor of house music. Always traveling, Paris, sydney, noumea and other one off destination.
