When it comes to music, these two qualities reach a rare level – his digging is as strict as it is curious, his record collection as broad as it is meticulous, and his mixing as tight as it is adventurous. Brought up on techno in the early nineties via independent radio, he first jumped behind the decks in 1997. Soon, the insatiable collector would also incorporate house, bass music, jungle, ambient and new UK sounds into his sets. Over twenty years, the French DJ’s career was marked by residencies for Technorama, Release The Groove and the 75021 collective. A stalwart of the Parisian scene, Oxyd saw his skills recognized on an international level when he was invited to play Dimensions in 2013 and Boiler Room in 2014. That same year, he started a monthly slot on Rinse France which has built a regular following. In January 2015, the selector started his own label Intramuros, pushing forward new talents such as PEEV, Luxus Varta and E-Unity. Oxyd’s DJ sets embody his experience and personality.
