Statikman Taking the name from the opening track of Futureshock’s 2003 album, Statikman is the alter ego of DJ/Producer Phil Dockerty. Under this guise he’s been busy creating alternative Balearic inspired DJ sets and re-edits as part of a scene that some have labelled ‘Underground Disco’ others call ‘Cosmic’, ‘Boogie’ or ‘Future Disco’. Whatever name you settle on the sound reflects the taste of a DJ calling on his experience behind the decks to build inspiring sets of emotive Balearic dance music that includes House, New School Disco and Re-edits. The result is a sound that’s at home in classy bar, a steamy club, a beach, a boat or a festival field.
