- Philipp Gorbachev is a bell-ringer, DJ and music artist, originally from Moscow, RUPHILIPP GORBACHEV, is a Producer, DJ and Artist, originally from Moscow, RU. A polymathic artist injecting avant-garde heritage into techno, Philipp Gorbachev operates at the intersections of musical and cultural roots. Released via his own boutique imprint PG TUNE, latest album ‘KOLOKOL’, features single ‘I Am Saved’, remixed by Marcel Dettmann, Decka, Amanda Mussi and Barnt. The project erases limitations for traditional Orthodox church bell-ringing and injects a new distinctive vibe into cutting-edge techno and industrial, performed with a radical new live show. The album garnered an array of press support from the likes of Resident Advisor, Mixmag (Album of the month), The Quietus and more. The campaign also saw PHILIPP GORBACHEV contribute mixes for Resident Advisor, Radio Cómeme, Crack Magazine, Groove Magazine, WorldwideFM. Previous album ‘Unlock The Box’ was released in 2016. Lead single ‘Ivan, Come On, Unlock The Box’ was edited by Nina Kraviz and released on трип, ‘5th New Century’ got remixed by Len Faki and released on his LF RMX imprint. The track also got featured in the official BALENCIAGA 2020 Summer Campaign video and CHANEL 2018 Summer Campaign. PHILIPP GORBACHEV also contributed solo EP ‘Nichego Ne Ponyal’ and singles (Normalno, Raven) for release via Moscow label System 108, which garnered support from the likes of Dr. Rubinstein and Etapp Kyle. Also belonging to this series sound-wise, ‘Jump High’ is another drum-science EP, this time via SCHALEN label, run by Barnt and Magazine crew from Cologne. Remixes by Deadbeat, Almaty, OZZY. Debut single ‘Verish’ and ‘In The Delta’, ‘Hero Of Tomorrow’ EPs, as well as ‘Silver Album’ LP were released between 2011-2014 on legendary label Cómeme, curated by Matias Aguayo. Club and radio play by Tiga, Green Velvet, Andrew Weatherall, Lena Willikens and many more. Remixes by Danny Daze, Ana Helder, Matias Aguayo, Optimo. Radio and promo support from Beat In Space, BBC Radio 1, EL Pais, THUMP, Groove Magazine, Interview, Numero. ‘Hero Of Tomorrow’ EP became the official soundtrack for CHANEL fashion show in 2014. Live highlights include Berghain, Boiler Room (Berlin), Terminal V Festival (Edinburgh, Scotland), EXIT Festival (Novi Sad, Serbia), REX Club (Paris, France), Mamba Negra (Sao Paolo, Brazil), Wire Festival (Tokyo, Japan). PHILIPP GORBACHEV has also embarked on tours in Australia and Europe, Latin America and Eastern Europe playing shows in London, Paris, Mexico City, Santiago, Lima and many more. PHILIPP GORBACHEV features in numerous productions and bands, like The District Union, Isaac Johan, DECKA (ДЭКА) and KOLOKOL (A/V). 2022/2023 season is set to further cement PHILIPP GORBACHEV as one of techno’s hard working innovators to discover.
