Biografía
- Piegaja, Italian Dj and music producer, was born in Lucca in April 1990. His first approach to records takes place at the age of 9 years thanks to his cousin John, who at the time were regularly buying vinyl of House, Techno and Funky music.Piegaja begins Djing at the age of 17 when his parents “fitted” him with two cdj and a two channel mixer. In 2008 he starts playing to friends parties and soon is asked for Djing in some local pubs and clubs. Between 2009 and 2012 he gathers experience in some of the most renowned Versilia (northern Tuscany coast) clubs, among them: Kama Kama, Frau Marlene and Canniccia. In 2009 he faces to the world of musical production. In 2010 meets and becomes friend of Marco Faraone. They still share today a great passion for music. Piegaja’s sound does not identify itself in one particular musical genre. In his style you can feel some Jazz, hip-hop and electronica influences, but driven to House and Techno. His favourite artists are Peter Gabriel, Royksopp and Boards of Canada, but his passion for djing comes from several nights passed while listening to artists like Luciano, Villalobos, Raresh and Loco Dice. In June 2013 is going to be launched “I Will Wait”, an album made of 14 tracks produced and written at “four hands” by Marco Faraone and Piegaja.
