Biografía
- Raíz are co-founders of Droid Behavior and the VRV label. They have released on labels: Electric Deluxe, Droid Recordings,Truncate, and many more. The members of Raíz manage Droid Behavior's event production, the D-node podcast, and website.Producers and label owners Vangelis and Vidal Vargas have performed worldwide from North America to Europe to Japan. Through their connection with Drumcell, they founded the production group and music collective Droid Behavior where they oversee the brand and curate the notorious Interface event series. In 2013 they partnered with Subversive to create the Droid sister label, VRV. The platform features conceptual, thematic releases relating the ideas, experiences, and emotions of the artists over a functional dance floor backbone. As performers, Raíz fully harness the capabilities of technology to create a thick blend of Detroit-influenced techno and hard, gritty house. Years of production experience inform their Live PA / Digital DJ hybrid approach, as they layer each track’s core essentials and live improvisation to craft sets into a unique and narrative arch. Their releases follow suit, drawing from their classical musical training and diverse influences, to infuse musicality and depth into their music.
