- Raphael’s style of music is best described as Underground House and Techno, with distinct influences by German and Romanian producers on his DJ sets that are well known to his loyal followers around the world.Brazilian-born Raphael Mello is a former drummer who from an early age had a passion for his craft and dedicated himself to learning the instrument. By 1997 he was performing as a drummer and had his first recording experiences. In 2002 Raphael embarked upon his journey as a professional DJ after winning the highly coveted ‘Disturb Award’ as Revelation DJ in 2004. Acting upon this momentum, he set his sights on Europe, where opportunities to perform overseas and to expand his network within the music industry where his primary objective. He’d now firmly established his place in the EDM scene with performances in UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia to name a few. Raphael’s style of music is best described as Underground House, with clear influences by German and Romanian producers on his DJ sets that are well known to his loyal followers around the world. His precision mixing skills and raw talent has been forged from his vast experience performing in clubs and festivals across Europe and South America. He’s a confirmed name at some of Berlin’s famous underground parties at Golden Gate, Morph, Suicide Circus, and since 2007 he has joined Ibiza seasons as a resident DJ at The Zoo Project, performing regular sets at Privilege, The Underground and many other clubs and after parties at the famous party island. Settling in Europe, Raphael became an established UK artist, for over 3 years he played a monthly set at ‘Heroes’, held in one of the biggest clubs in Europe, EGG London. Today, Raphael continue to improve himself as an artist; recently graduated from the London College of Music in Music Technology and Sound Engineering, another great achievement that truly demonstrates his ambitions within the music industry.
