First thing: this will be an autobiography, written for and by myself. When it comes down to my biography i feel the need to express myself with my own words, just as i do with my music and my own sounds. My journey with music, i have to admit, started as a whole pleasure of being a listener during my vacations at my uncle's radio A.N.T.A.N.I. in Sicily. There wasn't much left to do besides tweaking some 16 band equalizer and wearing out the records scratching faderless on a belt driven turntable (Technics sl 2000's) until the needle broke. At the age of fifteen i had some trouble with my father, who was at his time a dj too. My vision of being a dj was far deeper than my father's one, who looked to me as an aspiring radio speaker or entertainer. I have to thank him for forcing me in some way to feel rather than appreciate music i would have never listened to. After a little got into the the hip hop scene, mainly as a graffiti writer; this culture opened my eyes to the world of turntablism and beatmaking thanks to my friend Vittorio Falcone. I started with a software called Madtracker and switched after a couple of weeks to Fruityloops at its version 5. Actually i was never satisfied with the beats i produced, i had to struggle with technical english and absolute no knowledge of digital signal processing. Times changed with the purchase of an old Akai MPC 2000 xl, where i discovered the human feel of drum samples played with little or no quantization. While time was passing and i grew older i didn't feel comfortable anymore because of the idea that the movie "Copyright Criminals" nested in my mind. From there my approach to music production radically changed, preferring to avoid samples and rahter make everything from scratch using both soft and hardware synthesizers. Studying computer science at the university i discovered the beauty minimalism and i soon got addicted to be tidy and clean in my productions who may float from house music to techno with a nostaligic touch of old fashoned grooves and the experimentation of the unknown.
