- Roddy (Hertzmusic Kaiserslautern)As a child he started with the drums. This obsession with beats has carried Roddy through his musical career. Early on, he came in contact with Rock, Soul, Blues, Jazz and Latin American songs and had experience playing drums in live bands. This has translated into his perspective of how to fuse house music with many other musical styles, which driven him in along his musical career. In his hometown of Kaiserslautern, in 1999, with the support of his likeminded friends, he founded the event agency Bodaro. In 2002, after Bodaro was dissolved, a new project was born, Hertzmusic. Many successful events and gigs followed. In 2004, Roddy started the club event hertzclub, which was and still is, an amazing success. In 2005, he opened his first club in Kaiserslautern, entitled Cameo. With the help of the "Hertzmusicians," the club became a scene for open-minded people and friends of all kinds to explore electronic music. Talent such as: DJ T, Karotte, Matthias Schaffhäuser, Sieg über die Sonne and many more influenced crowds at the Cameo, until the Cameo closed its doors in may 2006. Roddy then, took a break to pursue and enhance his production abilities. In 2007, Roddy founded the two respective sub labels hertzklopfen and hertzlich with his good friend and partner Chris Haberer. Roddy´s specific style is represented in his song “loungedoc,“ which was released on the first “hertzlich EP,“ in March 2008. The remix package was supplied by, Ian Pooley, on the flip. On the 26 September 2008, the second installment of hertzlich was released. It included an original track by Roddy and a fabulous remix by Terry Lee Brown Jr. Presently, Roddy is coordinating events and publishing music on Hertzmusic. Currently he is focusing on his next musical project for hertzlich. Style: Combining deep grooving vocal records with tribal, disco and progressive flavors is a trademark of his style of production and DJing, along with, playing live background percussions.
