Biografía
- Based in London (UK)/ Goa (India), Russell Wayne is a versatile international artist who explores various forms of music, the music he plays out has to have a certain energy, character and charisma that’s all that matters.With his musical background and unique style he encompasses a wide variety of dance music styles with cutting edge genre blending sets of bouncy laced techno, minimal, progressive & deep melodic house all combining to form a unique and distinctive brand of music to keep the dance floor full from the beginning to end of his sets. Reactions and great feedback have proven him right. As a promoter he started a project called NoNonSense in 2012 which has been making positive waves on the London party scene hosting events at Horse & groom, Egg Club, Apiary Studios, The Corner Shop and Shelter Club. He’s secured residences spinning at Get Diverted, one of South London’s best know terrace parties & played for many other brands/clubs spinning alongside an impressive collection of DJs in London, Berlin and India that boasts some of the most respected names in house and techno music with the likes of Anja Schneider, SLAM, Tiefschwarz, D’Julz, DJ T, DJ Koze, Todd Terje, Bushwacka (Just Be), A Guy Called Gerald, MR C, Ralph Lawson, Jimpster, Sancho Panza, Djuma Soundsystem, Jay Shepheard, East End Dubs, Junior Jack & Kid Crème, Cozzy D, Kevin Griffiths, Neverdogs, Saytek (Live) and countless more emerging stars. On the production front he’s signed to Material Series sub label Sonics with his collaboration with Laydee V (I Found Love) reaching third position on the labels Beatport chart. Releases on Platform 7even with Laydee V, Oxy Beat, Moog Conspiracy and recently Celestial Recordings collaborating with Ryan Pamatmat and Electum Goldensun (You Know How) with superb remixes by Kama Sounds and Junction 13 (Defected Records) that’s been heavily supported by Paco Osuna. On an International scale spinning at Club Sisyphos (Berlin), The Lab at Club L’Officine (Paris) and performing at countless gigs across India. He’s firmly created a name for himself playing at one of the best clubs in New Delhi ‘LAP’ Alongside club owner and Bollywood Star Mr Arjun Rampal, Playboy (New Delhi), Playboy (Mumbai), numerous times at Club ‘Aurus’ (Mumbai) and secured residencies in (Goa) at Marbela Beach, Liquid Sky while working on events, fashion shows and performing at respected venues: Micasa, Café La Musica, Aquatica, The Three Donkey’s, Liquid Star, Boutique House at the famous Saturday Night Market, Waters Beach Lounge and Grill, Cafe Lilliput (Anjuna), Sea Horse, Club West End, Cirrus, Curlies, Chronicle, Monkey Bar etc. He’s influenced by a huge range of music but doesn’t have any one particular inspiration just life in general topped up with a loud crowd who love their music.
