Having enjoyed early appearances at London’s Ministry of Sound, Brick House and Egg Club, Scott quickly assumed a reputation for showcasing a completely unique and flawless underground sound, building-up crowds with a deep-groove and climaxing with organic bass driven techno. Seven years on, aged just 25 years old, Scott Kemp is regarded by many in the industry as an established ‘young gun’ of the London underground scene, boasting worldwide support from Berlin to Italy, Holland to Ibiza and even the States, from the likes of tINI, YAYA, Randall M, Chad Andrews, Medeew and Pan-Pot, to name but a few. Consistently proving his worth behind the turntables, as a fantastic DJ, who’s also accustomed to playing vinyl only, on more than the odd occasion, there is no doubting that Scott Kemp is also a natural born producer, with the passion, ambition and propensity which could one day make him comparable to the likes of Magda and the other greats to which he aspires within this rapidly emergent genre. And there really is no doubting that Scott’s foremost passion and focus remains applying himself religiously within the studio...Having already achieved a successful string of releases, both digital and vinyl, with labels including Baile Musik, Earlydub Records, Deep Tech Records, Entail Records and Wiggle Records before he turned 25 years young, 2013 welcomed Scott's most high profile releases to date. Scott started 2013 with the release of his ‘Neptis’ EP on Detroit based label ‘Hypertone‘, which enjoyed impressive remixes from fellow pioneers, Randall M (tINI & the Gang) and Anthea. This was followed-by a stomping three track EP collaboration with Berlin based Miss Jools in August, with ‘London Asylum’ released on the infamous ‘mobilee records’ with yet another remix from now close friend and ‘mentor’ Anthea. Scott’s final release of 2013 and his second collaboration with Miss Jools, ‘Bring It Back’, dropped on Manchester based vinyl imprint ‘Lowroom Recordings‘, and featured bomb remixes from Fuse’s Ittetsu and Alexandar Kyosev. But Scott's application to cultivating himself a rounded electronic musician doesn't end there. A primary focus for Scott in 2014 will be his newly launched and highly anticipated label imprint, Novus, which he runs with label partner and co-founder Cris J. The debut VA, which was released on January 7th, and included tracks from Randall M, Lilith, P.Jones, Chad Andrew and Duky, went straight to #1 in the Top 100 Minimal Release chart within a few days. With the label maintaining a strict policy of releasing original material only, with absolutely no remixes, and a growing breadth of strong emergent producers lined-up for further releases in 2014, NoVus is most definitely a label to watch as the year unfolds. Scott’s own release schedule is also looking very promising in 2014. Having just released his 4 track vinyl on the highly-regarded ‘Turquoise Blue Recordings’, accompanied by a fine array of remixes from DJ W!ld, Hector and Seph, his momentum shows no sign of slowing. This release is followed by another solid original track 'Felon', a collaboration with Italian producer Alex Ground, and is due for release on Fuse’s sub-label ‘Infuse’ in the coming months, whilst not forgetting the forthcoming remix of his and Red Pig Flower's remix of Egal 3 on Vast London.
