- With the breakthrough performance in the 12th edition of Tomorrowland, SELECTRO cemented his status as a Global Ambassador whose fusion of House, Tech House and Techno music has electrified dance floors across the world.SELECTRO is a DJ/Producer who is skilled in different music genres & styles. Born in ’86, this Sri Lankan native is known for his impressive turntable skills which he displayed when he was 16. In 2004, he garnered the position of Resident DJ at the renowned “Lords” Negombo, was a reputed Club in the Suburbs. Hungry for more, he built his own home studio where he practiced DJ-ing and mastered the craft of music productions. He later met late “Niro” who soon became part of Selectro. Their first single ‘Sri Lanka’ was noticed soon after its release on the internet and went onto being featured on international Radio stations such as BBC Radio 1 (UK), Wave 89.1, Monster RX 93.1 and 99.5 RT (Philippines), PureFM (Seychelles) & YES101, KISSFM and Sun FM (Sri Lanka). The track's popularity saw it topping Kiss FM’s - Kiss Demand Hot 40 and has been hailed as a club anthem. He performed every weekend at Sri Lanka’s #1 Night Club - KAMA Colombo, which was always packed on scheduled nights. 2016, saw him take stage at the 12th edition of Tomorrowland in Belgium. This International act quantified his status as the first ever DJ from Sri Lanka to play at the world renowned music festival. Selectro is ready to take Sri Lankan identity to the global dance arena and beyond. SELECTRO have also performed alongside many international DJs, notably Dave Lambert, New_ID , Sick Individuals, Funkerman, David Tort, Nicola Fasano and Steve Forest, , Erick E, Disciples, Plastik Funk, Ferhplay, Marco Farouk, Yves La Rock, Guru Josh, Artful Dodger, Sonique, DJ Starkillers, Shaun Frank, Mike Williams, King Arthur and not forgetting, some of Billboards biggest names - Sean Paul, Jason Derulo, Gary Nesta Pince, Inna and Arash to name a few.
