Biografía
- Shakara is a party, radio show, and mix series based in Glasgow. Centred around co-founders and childhood friends Maveen & Crammond’s passion for music and venturing away from the norm.They cut their teeth DJing together in their teens, and hosting acclaimed events starting in 2018. This led them to a monthly residency at Glasgow’s La Cheetah Club, which strove to promote good vibes and an inclusive atmosphere at all times, where all are welcome and negative energy is left at the door. Their nights have seen them host guests such as Interplanetary Criminal, Rebecca Vasmant, Bluetoof, Maurice Fulton, RAW SILK, Shy One, Xivro, VAJ.Power, Me Gusta, Wheelman, DJ Peanut and Kalita Records head honcho Chris Webb. Both are well-versed in playing a very wide range of styles and genres, and this has seen them booked for signature sets at venues such as Sub Club, Berkeley Suite, Riverside Festival and London’s Somerset House.̸For bookings & promos: [email protected]
