Biografía

  • In 2019, the world collapsed due to an unknown virus. The oceans dried up, the earth cracked, and cities were locked down, giving the appearance that all living beings had perished.
However, humanity had not been wiped out. A beatmaker who had been releasing numerous records under major international labels for twenty years went through the Great Reset and awakened as PVC General. Clad in the transformative material of analog records, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the PVC General freely manipulates the 50Hz low-frequency electronic sounds. Some are shaken to their core and left drenched, while others ascend after letting out screams. This mysterious General traces their roots back to the blood of swordsmith Shibata Ka (Meiji 17th year) and an unknown father (a wanderer). In 2022, they establish their Shogunate in Harajuku's Jingumae 4-chome. There is a General who carves their own destiny. There is a General who defies the heavens. It is the destiny of the #LeatherFetish, a two-thousand-year-old fate. Behold! Now, an end is put to this everlasting history of blood.

Shogun PVC from Japan has just released his EP 'Polyvinyl Chloride' on Global Techno Movement Records and it is hard to ignore. This three-track EP is a powerful statement of Shogun Pvc's style and sound, featuring techno tracks of a hard and dark nature. The title track, 'Polyvinyl Chloride', is a driving track with pounding drums and a bassline to make you move. It's a great way to start the EP and set the tone for the rest of the release. The second track, 'Azuma Miller', takes a more melodic approach, with a slower tempo and layered synths to create a hypnotic atmosphere. The last track, 'Letter from Koshigoe', is a mixture of both, with a driving rhythm and melodic elements that bring the EP to a strong close. Shogun Pvc's debut on Global Techno Movement Records is an impressive one, showing off their ability to combine hard and dark elements to create a unique sound. It's definitely one to check out!
