SIGSALY

Biografía

  • Chicago and London based DJ and Producer
Sigsaly was an audio encryption machine. He very much relates to the opening sentiments in Max Berrys 'Machine Man' -- Most little boys grew up playing with trains, I was the only little boy I knew who wanted to be a train. As a DJ, his sets are relentless, technical, playful, and unpredictable. He has a love for finding great, overlooked tracks from oft dismissed genres. His tastes are rooted in midwestern house and techno, with an everlasting love for hardcore (and a particular fondness for arpeggios and animal sounds). As a Producer, Sigsaly excels in finding the music in everyday sounds. He draws influence from artists like Robert Hood, Paul Johnson, Surgeon, Luna-C, and Head High. He is adept and both the technical engineering elements and the honest unpolished artistry that balances his productions. His sound is refined, rich, and detailed. Sigsaly has a varied background in working in many aspects of the acoustic experience of music. With a degree in acoustics, he has spent time as an acoustic consultant, sound system designer and tuner, ghost-producer, engineer, and writer. He is currently the production partner of his long time friend of The Black Madonna and cares for the sound system of the legendary Chicago club Smartbar. For bookings contact: [email protected]
