- Skander is an Afghan-American DJ, Producer, and Firefighter/Paramedic from San Fransisco, California.Skander was introduced to electronic music at an early age, and began producing and DJing at the age of 16. In 2012, while living in Berlin, he made the decision to return to San Fransisco and help elevate the city's own music scene. Working together with his brother Sohrab Harooni and friend Josh Woods, RS94109, a record store and event space, was open in 2013. By 2014 Skander had his first release, Dirge, on LA Club Resource. Since then he has released music with L.I.E.S, and Endangered Species, a label that got its start in the back of RS94109. His signature raw, heavy sound draws influence from 90s acid, techno, and early hardcore — which comes through on his numerous releases on his own imprint, Through Greater Evil.
