- SLAD, (soundlikeadog), is an electronic sound producer that started producing during the Nineties, and even if he enjoyed producing music in all it's various styles & shapes, he never defined himself as a musician, a dj or a composer. In fact, Christia..SLAD, (soundlikeadog), is an electronic sound producer that started producing during the Nineties, and even if he enjoyed producing music in all it's various styles & shapes, he never defined himself as a musician, a dj or a composer. In fact, Christian Longo, has always been interested in the material sound aspect, trying to melt different comunicative styles & studying new reproduction systems, experimenting new interesting designs of musical communication. During 1999 he establishes the first Genoese netlabel, called "Santopalatomusicresearch", by means of managing to propose his repertoire live using his eccentric, glitch & experimental sonorities, making use of synths, groove boxes & samplers, and using the most disparate compositive techniques, starting from micro-sampling arriving to the math-synthesys in real-time. Taking advantage of the massive diffusion of the new informatic media, starting from 2001, he realized several musical productions ( electronica, dance, experimental ) for different labels such as "Elite records", "Nuhar Records", "Raw Trax", "Presslab Limited" and "Delectable Records", he perform in various stages and collaborates with many projects & remixes with artists such as Oral Tunerz, Paolo Driver, Alex Dimou, Presslaboys, Maurizio Ruggiero and Eraldo Bernocchi. The tracks Head, Spanatura, Bavaglino, Campylospermum stand out for several weeks in the top selling charts of the different music portals (Beatport, Juno Download, DjDownload), and besides, numerous tracks were selected for charts, livesets & radio shows, and from Djs such as Joy Kitikonti (Basant Bahar),DjMilli De Mori (M2O), Brian Henderson, DjVipper (Mayo), & for compilations such as Beatscape No 36 and Mnml Minimal Summer Selection 2008. From 2003, Christian also creates different interactive platforms for the intensive generation of immersive audiovisual ambiences, synchronizing audio-video data in real time, offering to his audience & spectators, unique & unforgettable emotional experiences. Amongst the various musical inventions, published and exposed in contemporary arts exhibitions we can find: wax (2003), "AVStorm" (2001), "reinventing the wheel" (2005), "don't touch the air" (2007), "google dice" (2004), "Profile grabber" (2007). During new year's eve 2007,his generative video called "slices of Zena", was chosen for being reproduced all night long in the 2 main Genova squares (Piazza De Ferrari, Piazza Matteotti), as a backdrop for the musicians such as Gianna Nannini and Matia Bazar, which were rotating on the city stages during that important night.
