- Snips is one of the UK’s most prominent and prolific DJs and Producers. Now based in NYC Snips is Renowned for his ability to cover a wide selection of genres within his sets ranging from Contemporary Hip Hop, Dancehall and RnB to House & Disco.Snips is the founder of Barbershop Records and co founder of Livin' Proof, a veteran of the UK Hip Hop scene with over 15 years experience as one of Londons most prolific club DJs. Now residing permanently in NYC, Snips is equally comfortable playing alongside Stretch Armstrong, DJ Spinna and Moma as he was UK staples Tim Westwood, Benji B and Shortee Blitz. With 10 years worth of transatlantic production credits across Hip Hop's underground, 2018 saw Snips emerge as a budding solo artist,Releasing a slew of projects on his own label “Barbershop Records” fusing the production styles of Hip Hop, House, Soul, Jazz and Funk in the same fashion he's known for as a DJ. Snips' current production and remix credits range from Nu Jazz artist Kamaal Williams to UK rapper Giggs, showcasinghis ability to comfortably move between such varying sounds. On relocation to NYC Snips left a 5 year residency on Londons Kiss FM and can now be heard presenting his “Barbershop Radio” show on the 2nd Thursday of the month on NYC's Balami Radio.
