- When asked to describe their sound the response is quite simple "essentially we are house DJs but the boundaries between house, deep house disco, techno & bass music can be quite blurry. It's all about playing the right set for the right crowd". At the..2009 - 2015 James Edwards & David Minns formed So Called Scumbags in 2008 and hit the ground running. In 2009 they made their debut in the main room at London's Ministry Of Sound supporting the likes of Darren Emerson, Seb Fontaine & Boy George. Since then dynamic duo have have gone on to play all over the world from legendary Ibiza haunts like Space, Pacha and Bora Bora to the world famous Chinese Laundry club in Sydney, and Thailand's full moon parties. In Europe the guys keep busy with shows in Sweden, Austria, France & Ireland whilst back home in London they have played at just about every major club around including Fabric, Egg, Pacha, Corsica Studios, O2, Cargo, Fire & Ministry Of Sound. Festival appearances include Bestival, Glade Festival & High Definition Festival. As producers, James and David have achieved support from some of the biggest acts around. In 2011 Erick Morillo signed their single 'Punch' to Subliminal Records for the "Subliminal Invasion" album. The release was also supported by Tom Findlay of Groove Armada, Roger Sanchez and Fatboy Slim who played the track on XFM as part of his Big Beach Boutique build up. Further releases and remixes have been signed to Ministry Of Sound, Skint Records, Hed Kandi, Hotfingers & their own label Grin Recordings to name a small few.
