- Latest years has been great so far for SOUTHMEN, maintaining the balance of globally renowned Producer and established nowadays as an internationally renowned DJ, he has played often in Spain and Brazil and regular appaerences in North America, Tunisia..the DJ: Carlos had the opportunity to play at lot of clubs and events worldwide, alongside the most important DJs. Their record entailment with the most outstanding labels and Producers and their unique style when he playes have turned him into a special DJ within House and Progressive House music. He used to have residency at Space in Punta del Este and also runs the most important after hours in Punta at Cafe Del Mar, but not happy with staying in his home country Uruguay, he has travelled far and wide to play: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, USA, Spain, Portugal and ofcourse UK where he has lived. He has residency at legendary DRY BAR in Manchester and played as guest DJs at venues such as THE MUSIC BOX and LIVING ROOM and also at THE ARCHES in Glasgow. After this succes he was one of the resident DJs at American well known club TWILO on their South American tour and also has co-produce some important events in Punta Del Este for big names: TIESTO, SATOSHI TOMIIE, SASHA, PAUL OAKENFOLD, ANTHONY PAPPA, GLOBAL UNDERGROUND, BEHROUZ. the Producer: In 2002 He had some productions alongside Uruguayan producer R.Cieri, signed to Premier Sounds (by PRIME Distribution) this track called 'IMAN' was remixed by one of the upcoming British talent's SHAFUNKERS courtesy of John Digweed's BEDROCK. 'FUNKY F' was the other one, signed to DISTRAEKT Recordings with remixes by PAUL WOOLFORD and PILLIAVIN & ZIMBARDO both records had great reactions within the crowd and DJs. In 2003 he had signed one track to AZULI Records(UK mayor label) wich has been included in SPACE IBIZA compilation mixed by the great DJ SMOKIN JO' and as if Carlos can't put a foot wrong he has joined the ranks of the elite in MUZIK Magazine's (UK) chart roster alongside DJs such as: Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Carl Cox, Ralph Lawson, Tom Stephan and Hernan Cattaneo to name a few. Wich brings back to the present it was in 2005/2006 when SOUTHMEN has obtains his definitive recognition when he had signed original productions with the main US label YOSHITOSHI Recordings owned by legendary duo DEEP DISH. Co-produced by London 909 and JZK this track called SOUTHDRUMMERS - ''Cruz Del Sur'' was the main attraction during past year's WMC in Miami and had received support from DANNY TENAGLIA, DEEP DISH, SATOSHI TOMIIE, STEVE LAWLER, BEHROUZ, DJ VIBE, LEXICON AV and many others big names!
