- Steve frisco is a French house producer since the 90'sBIOGRAPHIE: As soon as Slave aka Steve Frisco arrived in Paris at the end of 1994, he played at Queen, Palace, the Bataclan or the Follie’s Pigalle and a lot of club in the french territory and around the world. He was live guest on the Nova and FG radio shows. At the same time “To the rhythm vol 1”, his first EP (1995) was released on the Omnisonus label. In 1997 and 1998 he released “To the rhythm vol 2”, “To the rhythm vol 3” and different track’s only on cd . After winning first place at the DMC-SOUTH FRANCE contest in 1989 (where he got his special “scratch” touch), Slave merged together the rap, Chicago House and acid jazz styles until 1992. At the underground turning point of 1992 for two years (93-94), he was involved in all the big nights at the best French Riviera clubs (Factory, Kings, Privilegio) and made his mark with his style a mixture of dub, new york and chicago underground track’s. Slave exells in N.Y underground (his speciality) and makes waves with pure deep Italian house and US garage. In 1996 Slave returned to the South of France. He produced “Behind the green door” in 1997 for BMG. This tracks was in good position in Cajmeres’ and DJ Colettes’ (Chicago) playlist and was reprised and used on numerious compilations. From 1996 to 1999 he played in a several french club and organised a lot of different party. In 1999 he went back to producing with his first EP “Jive 2000” under the pseudonym of Steve Frisco at Subscience. The same year he co-produced “New Sheldon Wet Dry”. In 2000 the “Jam Jam” EP was released while Slave worked on numerous multimedia projects (CD-ROM and internet). 2001 marks DJ Slave’s aka Steve Frisco return with his 12 inch “Z Source”. In september 2001 the title “Z Source” was compiled by Juan Atkins in a new mixed compilation called Juan Atkins Legend Vol: 1 (OM Records), San Francisco). In 2002 he remixed the the Dax Riders title “Real Fonky Time” for Universal France and MCA New York. The Same Year he produced the “Never ep” for Subscience and the track “original beat” from the ”Source ep” was compiled in the “Mushroom 4” (OM Records) mixed by Mark Farina In 2003 Steve stop the music after a ear accident. from 2007 to 2014 Steve has produced several releases and remixed tracks for differents labels such as: Sublevel Sounds (New York), OM Records (San Francisco), Greenhouse Recordings (Uk), Fathom Rec (Detroit), 124 Recordings (Uk), Traveller Records (Finland), Plan B Recs (New York), Série Limitée (UK), Subscience Records (France-, Apricot Records (France), Chevengur Melody Label (Russian Federation(, Motivic Records (Austria), Gotta Keep Faith (Italia) ….. In 2013 Steve also participate to a new exiting project with "Série Limitée records" with his friends Monsieur Cedric & Mayor Lepescu.
