- nyc circa 2000Sylvie Forêt was lucky enough to grow up in New York City in the 80s and 90s when it was a total free for all. She first put needle to the record in 2000 and has several releases under her belt— including the “No Shade” EP on the iconic Ibadan Records. In 2015, after 8 years in the Kreuzberg, she began regular migrations to Bali, weaving rhythms across europe and asia — holding space for awesome music and high-vibe parties. The main thing to know about Sylvie is that her desire to play and make music comes from the desire to share the shit that she is just so positively into. Like a kid in a candy shop. She gets tongue-tied when it comes to naming genres and whatnot, but you could call her sets pretty house-leaning, percussive and a little raw-- the kind of music that makes us change states while allowing us to remain exactly who we are.
