- Takashi Himeoka (Cabaret Recordings, Phreak)Debuting in 2014 via his now-infamous 'Tamayura EP' on Swiss label RORA, Toyko-based Takashi Himeoka has since established himself as a well-respected producer globally, maintaining a solid discography of reputable vinyl and V/A releases on labels around the world. Unafraid to push the envelope, Himeoka's sound is diverse and exciting, spanning from deep minimal house as per his early releases, to the energetic blend of Detroit Techno, UK House and Electro that characterises his later works. Importantly, Takashi Himeoka combines his broad-ranging influences with finesse to create a highly-original sound, one which has notably blossomed via his 2019 'Utakata EP' on his own label Phreak, and his 2021 'Wormhole EP' on legendary Japanese label, Cabaret Recordings. Takashi Himeoka's DJ-craft stands as a further expression of his experience and creative sensibility. A staple face in booths around Tokyo, his technical proficiency, timeless selections and groove-focus has toured him around Asia, Australia and Europe.
