- Born and raised in Mar del Plata(Argentina), living and producing in Barcelona (Spain).Musician, producer, dj: music lover, sound player, audio investigator.Guillermo Piacenza was born in 1971 in Mar del Plata, Argentina in a familial background were music, literature, cinema and arts in general were of vital importance, he grew up listening to a wide range of music: lots of jazz, clasical music, southamerican... , african and european music, rock and pop from the sixties and the seventies. At thirteen he had his first lessons of music with the talented composer Claudia Lopez Celaya. During the summer of 1985 he decided to create his first musical project, Gris Imagen Band, in which he was singing and playing the guitar.In those days Guillermo studied the guitar with Master Claudio Corradini.This same year he received as a gift the album "Discreet Music" from Brian Eno, which would change his way of listening and understanding music forever. Gris Imagen, based on evident postpunk influences (The Cure, Siouxsie, Bauhaus, Joy Division, etc) performed in Mar del Plata stages and then split in 1989. In 1989 Guillermo began studying Graphic Design in Mar del Plata' School of Visual Arts, as well as Photography and Painting. During 1990 and 1991, he was part of the project Cielo Amish as a singer and bass player. Finally the band split after long months of rehearsals without having performed live. In 1992 Guillermo created in Mar del Plata the project Ultramarinos filling it with all the influences he received from the middle eighties English music;from existentialist underground rock to ... electronic that 4AD label was proposing (Cocteau Twins, Clan of Xymox, Wolfgang Press, This Mortal Coil, etc.).The definite Ultramarinos (A.Valenzuela voice and guitar, W.Trubiano keyboards and Guillermo bass and occasional voices) performed on several stages of Mar del Plata until it split in 1994. After having explored and experimented music with A.Valenzuela within the ephemeric project Nauta, Guillermo decided to join himself to P. Moscuzza and to create a band inspired by Mar del Plata's glamourous esthetic ot the first middle ot the XXth century:unplugged sounds, intimist and elegant;simple songs with no big arrangements but a high expressive charge. Finally, the band would be called Altocamet and began in Mar del Plata in 1995 next to Juana La Loca. Afterwards, Altocamet turned itself into a quintet and incorporated electricity to its usual unplugged sound:keyboards and sequences were added as well as Guillermo's electric guitar. During 96/97 Guillermo gave annual seminaries in the School of Visual Arts about the Theory and Critic of Art, Theory of Communication, Semiotic, Artistic Production Analysis, Sociology and Marketing. In 1997 he achieved his studies of Graphic Design successfully. Altocamet released the album "Veladabistolcasino" (Triac medium Rec, 1998) and also remixes and colaborations.Guillermo musicaly participated as as bass and guitar player;he composed the lyrics of the songs "Tilos Diagonales" and "Veladabristolcasino", he designed the image of Altocamet and planned the promotional and communicational strategy (posters, ads, merchandising, etc.). In paralel to the performances of the band, Guillermo began to propose his own sets as dj Camet in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires clubs, in..., exhibitions and festivals. As a dj, his sets were defined by an ecclectic search of a balance in betwen rythm and harmony;hypnotic rythms and circular melodies, ....ambiances on house rythms, dub, drum an bass and techno.What is nowadays called "minimal". With some members of Altocamet he performed noticeable dj sets during the Trasandino Festival in Santiago de Chile's Feria, or duringthe first parts /warms up of Gustavo Cerrati's concerts for the Bocanada album Tour at the Gran Rex Theatre , or also next to violonist Sami Abadi at the Giesso Urania Espacio, etc. Next to Altocamet, the emphasis can be put on the concerts performed in Buenos Aires during the Telecom in Museum Festival (next to Suarez, babasonicos, etc), in the Cultura Centre Ricardo Rojas (next to Santos Inocentes), in the studios of channel Much Music, during the ravevolution in estadio Ferrocarril Oeste (next to H.Cattaneo, Franco Cinelli, Urban Groove, etc), during the Buen Dia 1999 Festival, at the Ave Porco (next to Leo Garcia), during the Primavera Alternativa festival (next to Sonic Youth, S.Lennon, M.G Epumer, etc.). During 2001 Guillermo moved to live in Buenos Aires and on Gustavo Cerrati's demand , he took part in the first sets of improvisation in Cielito Sudios that would later gave birth to the album 'Siempre es Hoy'. As dj Camet he usually performed in the clubs, discos and festivals of the argentinian capital.His participiation in the 2001 Buen Dia Festivalcan be underlined, as well as during the 'Musicos en Bandeja' course made by the Morocco Club, his continual presence at the Wicked parties of the Confiteria Ideal and in the Ducto Club next to Emisor, at the opening of Sergio Ochoa's paintings exhibition in Borges Cultural center, in Klemm Fondation, at the Levi's first Creamfields Festival edition, etc.During the summer he participated in the radio program 'Bueno, bueno, bueno' led by Cecilia Amenábar and transmitted by FM Energy. At the end of the year Altocamet presented his second edition 'Manzana de Metal'(Triac Medium 2001).In this album, Guillermo took part again as a bass and guitar player;he composed the lyrics of the song 'Viajera Indomita', designed the concept of the record and invited the plastic artist Federico Klemm to create the illustration of the sleeve of the record.The year after Altocamet was nominated into the categories 'Best Pop Band' and 'Best Cover Design' of the Carlos Gardel de Argentina's premiums. To begin 2002 Guillermo moved again, this time to settle himself in the City of Barcelona, Spain and in March he performed his last set as dj Camet for the Club Zen in the disco City Hall ofthe catalan capital.For this occasion he counted with the participation of F.Weiss on secuencies and effects, W.Gomez as for the drums and P.Kleiman and B,Togander as voices. Afterwards he began next to F.Weiss to developp long sets of improvisation, recording and study of the digital audio that years laters they would into Run Run project. During the years 2003 and 2004 Guillermo is the permanent resident dj of the Noti Bar in Barcelona and during the summer in the terraces of the Mas Pi de Verges in Girona. Around the end of 2004 Run Run started to play live in the room Bikini of Barcelona, during the first part of Gustavo Cerati's show for the presentation of his album 'Siempre es hoy' during his tour in Spain. To begin with 2005 Run Run recorded the album 'En Plan Cocodrilo' (Casa del Puente discos, 2005) and presented it in the Mochima Club of Barcelona and in Avalon and Mister Jones in Mar del Plata.During his stay in Mar del Plata, Guillermo brought some members of Altocamet to play together just for fun and in the Mix Studios created the sets that would finally give birth to the album 'En el Parque' one year later. Back in Barcelona he performed live with Run Run on several stages and during the summer he started his first sets of the project Tanox, co-producing the sets SERIOUS GAMES alongside the Canadian dj Zuzana Grimm and the argentinian dj Gustavo Lopez. In the begining of the fall, Guillermo played again with Run Run in Barcelona's Clubs. And then in the beginning of 2006, Guillermo travelled to the city of Copenhague, Denmark and collaborated with the singer and musician Nils Foss at Soundastound's studios.The result of this fortunate collaboration is still materializing. In May Guillermo presented again his project Tanox, this time associated to images created by the italian graphic designer Remo Boscariol in the gallery Niu of Barcelona. Altocamet published the album 'En el Parque' (Casa del Puente, 2006), the only instrumental and clearly experimental album until now.Into this album, Guillermo participated with his laptop, contributing with some tracks, guitar's samples, secuencies and virtual keyboards. He spent the rest of the year developping new material, exploring and studying new technics and taking again music lessons, this time with Master J.M Elliot with whom he's still working nowadays. In 2007 Tanox presentated his music at the Cub, Limbo, Isla de Encanta , organised by the collective Under Construction, at the Big Bang alongside the chilean band Familea Miranda, at La Roca's parties, at the Niu alongside the venezuelean dj Fata and to end the year invited to the presentation of the album "Usted no está aquí [pn025]" of the Equipo at the Niu of Barcelona. During the summer he started a set of visual works in collaboration with the visual artist Behdad Rezazadeh. In December Altocamet published the album'Mitad del Viento'(Indice Virgen, 2007) in which one Guillermo played the bass and contributed with samples in the song 'Atormenta'. During 2008, Guillermo will present again the Tanox project in February at the Cub in Sant Agustí Covent. Also, he edited "Astronomía de Balcón [pn028]" EP, for Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel, remix Cooptrol`s "Combat Dance, release "Paral.lel Clip" on Breathe Compilations, and collaborate in the album "Estrellas Transcompactas" with the track "Mi Kaeden".
