The 2 Bears

Biografía

  • What matters are the records, the ones that shaped Raphael ‘Raf Daddy’ Rundell and Joe Goddard when they met in the DJ booths of London.
House music has buried itself within the roots of the best of us, but for these two it became more than just a ‘fleeting hands in the air’ moment, it became The 2 Bears. Honing their craft for more than a decade, the duo have bounced from Brixton to Tel Aviv via Cape Town, delivering a memorable blend of house, techno, ragga and more to almost every continent. A journey that has coloured in the bold dancefloor-centric shapes of their albums ‘Be Strong’ (2012), ‘The Night Is Young’ (2014) and ‘Bears In Space’ (2015). Following their period of intense activity in studios and clubs around the globe the pair slowed down but have been far from hibernating. Raf releasing 2 solo LP’s ‘Stop Lying’ (2018) and O.M. Days (2021) as well as producing music for Insecure Men, Joel Culpepper and Man & The Echo not to mention his Party Nails alias. And Joe also working tirelessly, releasing his solo album ‘Electric Lines’ (2017) and producing, remixing and writing numerous eps throughout; with the latest, self-titled, debut album and new collaborative moniker ‘HARD FEELINGS’ (2021) with Amy Douglas gaining widespread acclaim. As the Bears start to stir once again the future looks bright with new music on the horizon for 2022, it’s pretty safe to say the friendliest Dj’s in town are back..
