Biografía

  • “I don’t have a specific genre, I make music that reflects how I feel and what is going on in my life and that’s that, my music are my thoughts and my thoughts are me”...
The K System is an alias of 19 year old producer Daniel Adeyemi (Born in London on the 3rd of March 1990). Daniel began producing at the age of 13 after getting himself a cracked version of Fruity Loops. Without any prior musical knowledge he started messing around with sounds and melodies which were soon to form his trademark sound. At the age of 16 he decided to take music seriously enrolling at at East Surrey College to do a music technology course . Here is where he truly developed his sound, known as a bit of a maverick, he never attended lessons, instead he was spending all of his time in the studios working on tracks. He has claimed to have made 1000’s of tunes, many which have been lost in recent years due to an unfortunate computer meltdown. While studying at East Surrey College, Daniel started to build a small reputation for himself after setting up a My Space page and uploading a bootleg remix of Bjork’s ‘I’ve seen it all’. This track spread through the internet getting many plays from various dubstep dj’s. Daniel first got national recognition after track ‘Electric Sheep’ got played by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6’s introducing show. This signalled a change in Daniel’s musical style with this track being heavily influenced by idm/breakcore and jungle it was a sign of the trademark glitchy sounds yet to come. Daniel is said to be influenced by many different genres of music, he cites Radiohead as one of his main influences but takes inspiration from many different artists from Kyuss, Slint, Tortoise and Sonic Youth to people like Aphex Twin and all thats inbetween. “I don’t have a specific genre, I make music that reflects how I feel and what is going on in my life and that’s that, my music are my thoughts and my thoughts are me”
