The McMash Clan

Biografía

  • The McMash Clan are fast building a reputation for destroying the biggest dance floors with their 4-deck live show and high octane productions.
The London based, three man DJ-production team are masters of mashing up genres. With little regard for BPM their own productions span dubstep, d'n'b, moombahcore, electro, drumstep, techno and glitch hop. Each track combines old skool energy with screwface future bass and beats, emotive breakdowns and intense builds. The Clan's high energy live show sees them hook up Traktor Scratch Pro and NI Maschine for a peak time 4-deck assault; cutting, scratching, reediting and triple dropping their way through a multi-layered mash-up of rave-bass lunacy. The strength of their live performances has already seen them smash big stage festival slots at Glastonbury (Arcadia spider), Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair, Bloc, Shambala and Electric Picnic. Their debut release on Reid Speed's Play Me label hit the Beatport dubstep top 20. They have since officially remixed John B and Rico Tubbs. The Swing Break EP combines big-band inspired moombahcore, filthily edited house and bollywood inspired tear-out ragga. The lead track features a storming guest vocal from Kate Mullins of the world renowned "swing punk" vocal trio The Puppini Sisters.
