- The Other was born in the early 80's in the middle of Western Europe... a little to the left in fact, on the French side.LABEL /// Whose Haus /// /// Soon on Echo Deluxe Recordings! /// The Other was born in the early 80's in the middle of Western Europe... a little to the left in fact, on the French side. At the start, his main talent was the ability to speak his hometown's dialect; but he then studied at the "Ecole Supérieure d'Arts" in Mulhouse: Artist & Workaholic, he graduated and started his professional carreer knowing exactly what he was after. At the same time, his vinyl-addicted sister (céline.b) introduces The Other to Djing. As Chinese Master Lao Tzu, she shows him the path, in particular establishing the "Electroscope" (www.myspace.com/electro_scope). His first love as an artist was graphism, which brought him to settle in the French Alps. Surrounded by milk cows, he surfs trends as he does the snowy slopes, twirling around on his board like a swallow… But he also felt attracted to nearby Zurich and the famous Rohstofflager… millimetric soundwaves from this club hypnotized him and led him to a certainty: The Other loves German Minimal electro sound… what goes around comes around.. In 2006, he was kindly offered to be muzzled (www.muzzleagency.com). Much to their regret, his friends from the agency had to let him go with the MK2 in his pouch, as he felt the urge to explore wider horizons. We then find our insatiable traveler in the green Basque countryside, one day speeding down grassy slopes on some kind of crazy adult-adapted child scooter, another day making the most of the awesome Basque summer weather, making people dance until the morning - outdoor parties with smooth hills and hay stacks as a background… In parallel he creates graphisms & logos, as some kind of 21st century Indiana Jones searching for the Lost Typography.. Without the whip though. This Electro pilgrim now lives in Miami where he preaches a Minimalist Gospel, to the delight of the sun-drenched crowds who, fed up with the Frenchy Bling Bling Electro style, were waiting for... An Other.
