Biografía
- French electronic music composer, producing downtempo electronica with a touch of minimal, deep bass & melody oriented sounds. Founder of record label Distile Records.Cédric, alias THRDMNK, comes from Orleans, in central France, and first got into electronic music as a DJ. He promptly tried his hand at composing, armed with his only piano, which was self-taught, and computer assisted music. Influenced by the French electro scene and artists such as Birdy Nam Nam, Vitalic or Justice, THRDMNK offers an electronica filled with emotions, constructed around melancholic vibes and deep basses. In 2015, he wins a contest organized by Baltazar Music thanks to his Superman Lovers' remix, Starlight. This win leads him to doing the music for a Posca Paint Markers ad with yet another remix, of Melody Gardot this time, Who Will Comfort Me. 2016 marks the beginning of a new era with the co-founding, alongside Yassine FT01 and Islandisiac, of Distile Records, an independent music label on which he releases his first EP, Sun. Composed of three electronica tracks downtempo, which are as mesmerizing as they are solar, it is sublimated by ethereal video clips filmed in France and Oman, via Drone. His second EP, Boulevard Bineau, explores a more nocturnal universe, where the rhythm, progressively growing deeper, keeps the listener in thrill. Insatiable, Cedric also works on a live project with Riviere Salee. Their collaboration, THRDMNK x Rivière Salée, through the combination of organic sounds (percussions, voices and guitars) and analogue synthesizers, results in a dynamic and captivating performance, at the crossroads of their universes. Their played their first live on November the 11th at Le Nouveau Casino, in Paris, followed by performances at multicultural Festival To Gaether, La Dame de Canton, American Express Live Bar, and le Flow Paris.̸08/07/16 - EP - Sun - Distile Records 21/01/17 - EP - Boulevard Bineau - Distile Records
