- Titeknots is a House producer and DJ from Brighton in the UKBrighton resident Titeknots has made music under other names for a few years, but the first Titeknots release was in September 2013. After the first couple of demo Titeknots tracks found their way into the sets of Tru Thoughts boss Robert Luis, a series of digital singles followed on Tru Thoughts in 2014, including an exclusive EP of edits for Beatport. Early support for these tracks came from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Todd Edwards, Nightmares On Wax, Feadz and DJ Zinc, with many DJs describing the Titeknots sound as refreshing and different. Concentrating on a cut and paste style House sound, Titeknots draws on his love of Hip Hop for inspiration, much like his House production heroes like Kenny Dope and Armand Van Helden. Coverage online from Thump, Nest HQ and Eton Messy helped spread the word and Titeknots hit the road, playing gigs supporting Bonobo, Quantic and Simian Mobile Disco, and playing his own headline club shows in Amsterdam, Belgrade, Glasgow, London and beyond. Since that early run of singles, Titeknots has concentrated on remixing for other artists, putting out club-ready reworks of Harleighblu, Quantic, Dele Sosimi, Ibibio Sound Machine and more.
